Chester, Cheshire; cabinet maker (fl. 1795–1827)
Apprenticed to the cabinet maker, Thomas Astle of Chester and made free by servitude in October 1795.
At Foregate Street, 1814–16 and from 1818 at 6 Watergate Row. Pool books of 1819 list an address in North Street, which was probably his home.
He is known to have bound three apprentices: John Sellers (1801); Joseph Lister (1817); and Samuel Dale (1827), who was turned over to him as a new master when Richard Gorst's business ceased trading [Poll books; freemen rolls; apprentice books].
