Gollop, George

Bell Lane, Poole, Dorset; joiner and cabinet maker (fl.1789–98)

In 1789 Gollop purchased insurance cover on his new dwelling house and ‘joiners shop adjoining’ which was ‘in the tenure of himself & Wm Waterhouse, joiner’. The building was made of brick and tiled, insured for £150, utensils and stock kept in it for an additional £30 [Guildhall Library, Sun MS vol. 362, p. 372].
