Newbury, Berkshire; upholder, upholsterer (fl.1780–98)

Recorded as an upholder on Bartholomew Street when he purchased insurance cover of £500, with £180 of this sum specified for utensils and stock in 1780 [Guildhall Library, Sun MS vol. 283, p. 276].

Recorded as upholsterer when he apprenticed James Rolfe, 1783 [Berkshire apprentice records].
