Recorded at 21 Gracechurch Street in 1839 and Thomas H. listed in the London Post Office Directory 1845.

Following the death of T. H. Gladwell, his surviving sons and partners continued the business trading under the name of Gladwell Brothers at 31 Gracechurch Street [The Furniture Gazette, 20 December 1879]. They exhibited a remarkable picture frame in their shop window. It was two feet wide and two inches thick at its widest and more than 100 feet in circumference, consisting of various mouldings. Made for a picture of Bacchus and Ariadne by Makart [The Furniture Gazette, 6 November 1880].
