Friend, Caril

London; upholder (fl. 1746–d. 1779/80)

The son of the upholder George Friend I of London, the brother of George Friend II and the father of George Friend III.

He was admitted a freeman of the Upholders’ Company by patrimony on 5 February 1746/47 and was a Master of the Company in 1773 [Guildhall Library, Upholders' Company records].

Declared insolvent in 1775. Recorded in Clerkenwell in 1778.
