Farmbrough, Thomas

London; joiner, cane chairmaker (fl.1662-99)

Thomas Farmborough’s name appears regularly in the Joiners’ Company Freedom Admissions register as a master to apprentices made free in 1662, 1667, 1676, 1680 and later; from 1680 onwards, as a senior official of the Company, he also had several apprentices turned over to him from other masters.

A collection of letters, dating from 1768–92 concerns land bought by Farmborough in Pennsylvania in 1699, and claimed by his descendants. Baptismal and Wedding certificates survive.
