Evans, John

Gwydir, Caernarfonshire, Wales; carpenter (b.1856)

Son of Evan Evans and head carpenter of the Gwydir estate in the Conwy valley. In 1880, at the age of 24, he made a substantial two-piece cupboard with built-in clock by Moses Evans (illus. Bebb (2007), II, fig. 1319).
