In 1881 Evans refurbished the Unitarian Chapel, Swansea [The Furniture Gazette, 8 October 1881] and supplied furniture to the new offices of the Newport Harbour Commissioners [The Furniture Gazette, 29 October 1881].
A large mahogany sideboard bears the ivorene plaque of this maker ‘BEN EVANS & Coy Ltd COMPLETE HOUSE FURNISHERS SWANSEA’ (illus. Bebb, (2007), fig. 1275).
