Edmundson, Thomas (1772-1797)
Edmundson, Thomas
Lancaster & Liverpool, Lancashire.; cabinet maker (fl.1773-97)
The son of Richard Edmundson of Broughton, Lancashire, Thomas was apprenticed to Redman Bateman and William Forrest, cabinet makers of Lancaster, on 3 March 1773. He was the only Edmundson whose apprenticeship to a cabinet maker was registered in the town's apprentice rolls.
In September 1797, Thomas Edmundson queried the cost of some black and gold chairs ordered from Gillows; they replied that they were charged ‘at what they cost us’ and that the rest of the articles were subject to a discount of 5 per cent.
Possibly the same Thomas Edmundson recorded in 1790 as cabinet maker of Stanley Street, Liverpool.
