Dewhurst (or Dewhirst), John

Liverpool, Lancashire; cabinet maker and timber merchant (fl. 1766–99)

Recorded in Thomas Street, 1766–73.

Apprenticed to James Robinson, joiner and admitted a freeman on 19 November 1767.

His son, Charles Dewhurst (b. 1776) was a sailmaker who petitioned freedom through patrimony in 1799 [Liverpool freemen register and committee book].
