Day, William

Marlborough, Wilts.; cabinet maker (fl.1777–85)

Took out a Sun Insurance policy in 1779 for £100 on his house. On the death in 1785 of Samuel Hill, another Marlborough cabinet maker and friend, Day was bequeathed 'all my mock India Paper my Drawings of Cabinet Furniture, my Glass Plates, and my cut Glass Handles for Door Locks'.
