Dawson, Thomas (1754-93)

Dawson, Thomas, 26 Oxford St, London, cm and u (1754–93). Subscribed to Chippendale's Director, 1754. Took an app. in 1754 for £21. Took out Sun Insurance policies in 1782 for £700 of which utensils, stock and goods accounted for £480; with Richard Dawson on 2 January 1786 for £1,000, £600 on utensils, stock and goods in trust; and on 8 January 1787 for £800. Possibly the Thomas Dawson, cm, of Long Acre, involved in bankruptcy proceedings with Chippendale and others in March 1773, declared in British Chronicle, 21– 24 September 1759.
