Daw(e), William

Exeter, Devon; cabinet maker (fl.1827–41)

Born in 1803, Daw(e) was recorded at Union Terrace (1829) and Coombe Street (1833–35).

He married Miss Sarah Youd of Exeter at St Sidwell's Church in January 1827 [The Alfred, 9 January 1827]. Their son, James Youd, was baptised at St Sidwell's on 18 January 1829; and their two daughters were baptised as follow: Elizabeth (29 September 1833); and Jane at St Mary Major (25 October 1835) [Parish baptismal records].

The 1841 Census records William Dawe as a cabinet maker, aged 38, living in the parish of Holy Trinity, Exeter.
