London; cabinet maker, upholsterer, broker and appraiser (fl.1786-1807)

Recorded as cabinet maker at 19 Glanville Street, Rathbone Place, on 2 August 1786 when he took out insurance cover of £300 of which £20 was in respect of utensils and stock in shop [Guildhall Library, Sun MS vol. 338, p. 239].   

Probably the same Benjamin Crane, recorded as an upholsterer, cabinet maker, broker and appraiser at 68 Tottenham Court Road on 2 December 1807 when he purchased insurance cover of £1,000 of which £450 was in respect of utensils and stock [Guildhall Library, Sun MS vol. 440, ref. 809908].
