Courthorp, William; Courthope, William (1700-1734)

Courthorp, William; Courthope, William

London, upholder (fl.1700–34)

William Courthorp was listed at the ‘Rose & the Star’, Paternoster Row (1724–30) and at Newgate Street (1734).

Probably the same William Courthope, who was recorded as a freeman on 4 September 1700. He later bound two apprentices through the Upholders' Company: Thomas Smith (1710– 21); and Job Adams (1721–29) [Guildhall Library, Upholders’ Company records].
