Tottenham Court Road, London; joiner or cabinet maker (fl.1864-1888)

Employed by Maple & Co. in 1888, at which time he was foreman of the joiners and cabinet makers at the Tottenham Court Road works. At the Select Committee Hearings into Sweated Labour in the Furniture Trade he confirmed that the joiners and cabinet makers were paid ninepence an hour. He stated that the workers were paid on a Friday night or Saturday morning. He had been a trade unionist since 1864.
