Cooper, Charlie
Turin Street, Bethnal Green, London; overmantel maker (fl.c.1900)
According to the reminiscences of cabinet maker Arthur Harding (b.1886), Cooper worked out of one back room in his house in Turin Street, making overmantels with bevelled glass centrepieces, which his wife polished. The wife, name unknown, had a polishing shop in Turin Street, where she employed between 4 and 6 girls.
