Clowes, Joseph (1783-1802)

Clowes, Joseph, London, upholder (1783–1802). Son of Richard Clowes of Fenchurch St, Gent. App. to Robert Hernig 5 June 1776 and free by servitude 2 July 1783. From this date until 1795 at 13 Winchester St but in 1802 at 15 Pentonville Row, Walworth. In 1786 took out insurance cover for £100 solely for household goods and clothes.
