Brumwell, John (1712-86)

Brumwell, John, London, upholder (1712–86). Recorded at Morden College, 1778–81, and Morden Wall, 1786. Son of John Brumwell, surgeon of Wapping, Middlx; app. to Daniel Woodroffe on 10 April 1712, and admitted freeman of the Upholders’ Co. by servitude on 1 May 1723. Took apps named Thomas Eyre, 1731–38, and Herbert Walwin Brumwell, 1745–56, the latter admitted freeman of the Upholders’ Co. in 1756. [GL, Upholders’ Co. records and Livery lists].
