Brown, William

London; upholder (1748–58)

The son of John Brown, a printer of Aldersgate Street. William was apprenticed to Samuel Phene, a stationer, on 22 February 1748. He was admitted a freeman of the Upholders’ Company on 1 June 1758. [Guildhall Library, Upholders’ Company records].
