Bowes, Thomas, ‘a timber house, S. side Hand Alley, E. side Bishopsgate St.’, London, turner (1717). Took out a Hand in Hand insurance policy on 24 October 1717 on his house for £150. [GL, Hand in Hand MS vol. 17, p. 333]
