Bourn (or Bourne), George

Liverpool; carver and gilder (b. 1763–d. 1823)

Recorded as Bourne at 18 Tarleton St in 1810–11 and as Bourn at Renshaw St in 1823. On 7 May 1808 Bourne was paid for ‘carving mouldings on a picture frame’ for a portrait of the Prince of Wales. The frame was gilded by a man named Cashen. On 5 May 1817 Bourne received a payment for unspecified work at Liverpool Town Hall. Death aged 60 on 6 July 1823 reported, Liverpool Mercury, 25 July.
