Boulton, George

King St & Wood St, Hanley, Staffs.; cabinet maker (fl. 1818-1823)

Boulton is recorded in directories working in King St (1818) and Wood St (1822-3). By 1827 he was working in the workshop of John Stonier, High St, Hanley. A painted deal bowfront standing corner cupboard has been recorded bearing a pencilled inscription: ‘George Boulton s bros(?), at Mr. John Stoniers, Hanley, Staffordshire, June 10th 1827 (illus. Cotton, RF 1990, figs 1 & 2).
