Bolter, James (1760-92)

Bolter, James, London, cm and u (1760–92). Addresses given at 45 Bishopsgate Without, 1778–81, and Dorset St, Spitalfields, 1786–92. Son of Thomas Bolter, husbandman of Little Chiveron(?), Wilts.; admitted freeman of the Upholders’ Co. by redemption on 15 June 1760. Took out a Sun Insurance policy in 1778 for £800, utensils and stock accounting for £400. Declared bankrupt, Leicester Journal, 7 July 1781.
