Reading, Berks.; cabinet maker, upholder and auctioneer (fl. 1784–1826)

Took out a Sun Insurance policy in 1784 for £2,000. Trading in Minster St in 1820 and Friar St in 1826. Subscribed to Sheraton's Drawing Book, 1793. In 2 July 1817 the Hampshire Chronicle advertised the sale by auction by Benwell & Tagg of the property of another furniture maker, John Ring of Basingstoke
