Belongaro (or Bolongaro), Dominic, Manchester, carver, gilder, print seller, ladies’ repository for fancy painting, barometer and looking-glass maker (1817–40). Trading at 2 Old Millgate, 1817–32; 32 Market St in 1839; and 14 Market St in 1840. A Banjo barometer and thermometer of mahogany with satinwood marquetry of conches and paterae, and inscribed ‘DOMINIC BOLONGARO 2 OLD MILL GATE MANCHESTER’ is owned by Manchester City Art Gallery.
