Baxendale, Joseph

Liverpool, Lancashire; cabinet maker (fl.1766–74)

Recorded with addresses in Oldhall Street (1766–73) and at 4 Peter's Lane in 1774. 

A Joseph Baxendale of Liverpool, cabinet maker,  possibly the same man, was admitted a freeman of Lancaster in 1767–68 [Lancaster freemen rolls]. 

Another is recorded in 1799 when his son, Josiah, petitioned freedom on birthright. [Liverpool freemen's committee book].

A ‘Mr Baxendale of Liverpool’ provided mahogany furniture for Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn in 1771 [National Library of Wales, Wynnstay, R41].
