The Furniture Gazette (1 December 1885) stated that the two partners were the sons of the founder of firm which had been established c.1855. In 1885 the firm’s specially designed works had large workshops for turning, chair & cabinet manufacture, fitting and French polishing, which had been enlarged as the business expanded. Their products included Windsor, library and fancy chairs, parlour suites with hair seating, dining suites covered in leather, loo tables, bookcases, chiffoniers etc. and also chairs for coffee rooms & hotels.

The firm was recorded in The Furniture Gazette: Classified List of the Furniture, Upholstery, and Allied Trades (1886) as cabinet, chair and couch manufacturers and they advertised in The Furniture Gazette from 1 January 1886 onwards.  Agius stated that it was possibly later owned by or at least supplied Liberty in London.
