Bance, George; G.J. Bance & Co.

Croydon, Surrey; cabinet maker and upholsterer (fl.1807–80)

Addresses for George Bance were Butcher Row in 1832 and High Street in 1838–39. A manuscript order book lists customers’ addresses and a breakdown of prices for work commissioned.  

The Furniture Gazette Directory (1877) recorded G. J. Bance & Co. at 117 High Street, Croydon and The Furniture Gazette (24 July 1880) announced that the partnership had been dissolved.
