Swansea, Wales; wood turner (fl. c.1840)

James Ayres, wood turner, was one of three Swansea craftsmen who supported the application for Naturalization of Michael Furtwengler, an immigrant German clockmaker. The others were William Keys, clockmaker, and Thomas Harman, cabinet maker.
