Antrobus, James (1725)

Antrobus, James

Manchester, Lancashire; cabinet maker (fl.1725)

Bound Dean as an apprentice in 1725.

Possibly a descendant of the joiner, James Antrobus, of Knutsford, Cheshire (b. 1679) who married Mary Jefferies of Northwich in 1695 and whose sons and grandsons were also joiners. Other members of the family were clockmakers and there were connections with another branch or branches of the family in London.
