Abbott, William
London?; upholsterer? (fl.1801)
On 14 November 1801, William Abbott submitted a bill to Lord Bradford for lamps supplied to Weston Park, Shropshire: ‘6 cut glass Grecian Lamps mounted in lacqured [sic] brass with burners – recently invented – the plan improved and approved;6 balance balls… £28 4s 0d’.
This man was almost certainly a London tradesman and possibly the upholsterer, William Abbott, living in Bedford Street, Covent Garden in the 1790s.
